If we want music, and it’s out there, we take it.  What could be more basic—or more idful?  

Depending on how far gone we are into idfulness, we may also concoct elaborate justifications about music being a basic human need, and how dare anybody ask us to pay for the stuff!

Under the surface, our resentment at feeling small and insignificant helps make it a lot easier to justify what we take.  In fact, we can even tell ourselves that what we're doing is romantically anti-Establishment.
