A note in a bottle is an attempt to connect.

Notes in bottles transform separators into connectors.

Today's media generate an enveloping--and ultimately isolating--illusion of connectedness.

These notes are by someone who, after losing his "vessel," learned a great deal that he would otherwise have missed.

By putting these notes in a bottle, I hope to illustrate what we are all capable of discovering.
