When our own organizational superiors are part of the dissociation problem, they must be handled with particular care.

The people above us on the organizational ladder can represent especially delicate challenges in any effort to restore corporate reality-grounding. If the person we report to is essentially operating from la-la land, it can be extremely trying (not to mention career-threatening) to attempt to bring such an individual back to literal reality.

Perhaps the most useful thing we can do in such a situation is learn the same perception-management techniques that virtualizers like management consultants use, and employ these techniques to present literal reality to our organizational higher-ups—and to do this in just as carefully-scheduled and recurring a manner as the presentations of the more nefarious manipulators.

All other things being equal, truth has a tendency of winning arguments over the long haul, simply because it explains more and has fewer inconsistencies.
