(13) Would I Stun the Waiting World?

I eventually contrived what I thought might be a way out of my predicament. I wrote up a synopsis of what I believed I had found. Then I began looking for qualified people to test the idea against.

I learned that a friend of a friend was "in charge of color" (whatever that means) for a major motion picture company. I felt that he certainly ought to know something about the subject.

He was cordial when I telephoned him, and generously offered to look at what I had written. His response to the written material, however, was...

Well, it was nonexistent.

Concerned that his silence was probably typical of what most people would do if exposed to a lunatic rant, I considered what form of apology might be appropriate to our mutual friend, for having inflicted myself upon this person.

But at the same time, I was still keenly interested in finding out where I really stood.
