Artist's Notes

I feel like I’ve spent endless hours in private reveries on this riverbank.  As a little kid, I could have played out long, rambling dramas with toy cowboys here.  Or I could have had my first kiss here—tucked away behind the reeds, nestling with a blushing, fresh-faced girl from school. 

None of this actually happened.  

It’s just the way the California Delta works on your mind. 

Oddly, the image doesn't affect me any less deeply for that.
