Artist's Notes

This is another painting in the light-oriented, tilted color-wheel style I'm evolving.  The model embodies a more fluid and voluptuous kind of femininity than, say, the gymnast-like seated nude.  The outlines of her body also vanish more completely into the cool shadows, and evanesce more dramatically into the bright light.

I  think of her as a kind of contemporary Odalisque. 

The song "Angel of the Morning" also tends to come to mind with her.
