A more practical view of the ballroom issue (2)

Well, then, is the new ballroom mainly ego-driven?  Does Trump want to leave his indelible signature on the presidency via an edifice that dwarfs the White House itself?  This would certainly not be out of keeping with his personality.

Clearly, there need to be limits on how far occupants of this historic structure can go in putting their marks on it.  For example, carving their initials into the Resolute desk in the Oval Office ought to be frowned upon.

Maybe we could compromise a bit, though, by allowing an unusually outsized ego like DJT’s to affix TRUMP in big gold letters to the outside, like he does on his private jet and buildings.  He’d just have to attach the letters in the same removable way that businesses do on leased commercial buildings.

Problem solved!
