Artist's Notes

A part of me needs to connect the representational work I'm creating now to the abstracts that I previously spent a number of years doing.

To varying degrees, all the paintings on this page are explorations of abstract forms as well as pictures of particular things.  While strong, simple shapes prevail in them, I feel they gain a certain subtlety and depth from their compound nature.

I expect my ongoing work to incorporate more and more of this type of approach.
